A dark tide threatens Meropide. A series of disappearances have plagued a declining ocean liner for as long as anyone can recall. Despite several lengthy investigations by Fontaine's "finest" into it, no one has ever cracked the case. Now these once previously infamous disappearances are no more than brief passages on the last page of the local newspapers.
