    Mace Windu survives his fall from the Chancellor’s Office, and Depa Billaba was not as dead as the clones thought she was. Organa’s budding rebellion seems like the best place to go to cause problems for the Empire, and to hold the fractured elements of the Jedi together. They’ve lost so many to the Empire (including Caleb) and they’re not about to take the Empire lying down or let the Jedi Order die – no, they’re going to make Palpatine’s life as much of a living hell as possible.
    But who is the strange Jedi in Phoenix Squadron? The name Kanan Jarrus doesn’t ring any bells.

    What it says on the tin, all my wild ideas of "what if" and "how about" in the Star Wars universe. Some are holdovers from my ff.net days, others are newer and shinier. A few start off unique series of their own, but most tend to be self-contained snippets, as my Muse presents a cool idea for me to write down and then never think of it again. I've had a LOT of these stored up from over the years, thinking I needed to have a fully fleshed out multi-chapter or long-shot story before posting something, but- recently I learned one can still attract a fanbase of readers even without mastering the art of 50k stories. So. Here we are x)

    They’d been careful, over the past year. Only Caleb went out on jobs with Kasmir, to deliver or fetch their illicit cargoes, meeting with buyers and sellers and brokers. Depa took great pains to never be seen coming or going from the ship, nor did she ever travel with her padawan or their kalleran benefactor in public. The scars that littered her back limited what she could do for them when trouble arose regardless, so Depa dedicated her time instead to listening for rumors, spreading some of her own, and doing her utmost to ensure no one ever realized the Kasmiri bore a crew of three rather than two.

    And it worked - too well. When Gray and Styles finally caught up, they took Caleb prisoner without bothering to look any further.
