If a few months after the superheroes are made, Bunnix visits Master Fu to warn him, how will the timeline change? For a while, everything seems normal. Bug and Cat fight villains across Paris, Lila is a lying thorn in Marinette's side, and Adrien cannot stand up to his father.
But suddenly, Marinette loses her miraculous, taken by Master Fu after he heard that in the future, he would lose his memories due to Marinette, and she loses all the miraculous. But Cat Noir can't fight alone. So he asks for a new hero by his side, and Fu gives him Ladybird.
Will she be able to live up to Ladybug's legacy? And how is Marinette doing?

The question rang out in Adrien’s head. “I was at a shoot.”
The detective leant back his chair. “That’s not what your photographer said.” He crossed his arms, glowering down at him. “He told us you never even bothered showing up.” The man’s eyes locked onto his own. His eyes were harsh and unyielding, actively scrutinizing Adrien’s story. “Lying won’t help you here, kid. Your dad confessed. Just tell us the truth, and we can cut you a deal. You’re young,” he pushed. “You don’t have to go down for your dad’s mistakes.”
Adrien’s heart pounded in his chest. He glanced at Ladybug across the table. He could practically see the gears turning in her head, trying to figure him out. Rubbing his palms together, the rattle of the cuffs dragged him out of his thoughts. “I’m telling you the truth.” His voice wavered, “I was at a shoot.”

Struggling with guilt and her role as Guardian of the Miraculous, Marinette nearly takes her own life, but Doctor Strange intervenes thanks to Su-Han's warning. He offers her guidance and a place to live at the Sanctum Sanctorum while she pursues her future at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. If she chooses to do so.
Because of the wish, there was something that slipped through the cracks, the spell Doctor Strange had cast to make everyone forget that Peter Parker was Spider-Man. Uh-oh.

Adrien has mastered the art of the smile. Even while his mind is on poor behavior, when he's caught beneath a barrage of unkind thoughts to himself, he's still able to keep his smile. Attend his friends' parties, maintain small talk, get through the day — and hopefully his friends won't realize how messed up he really is.
Everyone is out-pacing him. While he's barely getting out of bed in the morning, his friends are making waves, changing lives, getting engaged.
He can't even get his girlfriend to text him back.
So, sure. Maybe he's not in the best head space right now — but 'suicidal'? Ladybug's certainly just reading too deeply into things. But if her concern for Chat Noir's mental state is enough to get her reaching out, well, he won't turn down the opportunity to chat with a friend. Besides, Ladybug seems to be having a rough go of it, too. Maybe they can help each other out.

Could he hear her thoughts or had she been voicing his name all along? Probably the latter.
“Nothing I just… love saying your name. I love looking at you. You’re my whole world.” She couldn’t believe she was talking to him this way after so long. After all the pining, all the plans and the stuttering. He was hers and he was right in front of her.

Woken in the dead of night by a series of frantic phone calls, Marinette finds herself boarding a bus from New York to Montreal instead of flying home for winter break. Not that she has a clue how she'll navigate living with Adrien—who definitely wants nothing to do with her since the break up—for the indefinite future.
Adrien just wants to find the energy to convince Marinette he's fine—that she can leave. Because having her here hurts too much, and he's better off alone. At least, that's what he tells himself.
Stuck together in a one-bedroom apartment, somehow the distance between them has never felt so insurmountable.
But maybe there's hope after all.

★ Marinette is tired. Tired of all the responsibilities and heartache. She isn't able to confess to Adrien, especially since he's been distant. She can tell there's something wrong with him, but doesn't want to pry, as much as she wants to. So for now, the only thing she can do is be there for him as a friend, even if she wants more than that.
★ Adrien is done trying to confess to Ladybug. She's been excessively overwhelmed and stressed due to her superhero duties. Telling her how he felt would only add more to her plate; he could tell she didn't like him back. It's hard for him too, even if she couldn't see it. So for now, the only thing he could do is be there for her as a partner, even is he wants more than that.
★ But, what if they both found a way to avoid the misery of heartbreak, if only for a little? What if Chat Noir paid a visit to Marinette's house at night, just for old times sake? What if, as the nightly visits progress, they find a way to distract themselves from their everyday lives and its issues? What if...they used each other..?

Parisian Lycée Students Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste were not exactly your average everyday teenagers, with one being insanely clumsy and at the bottom of her school's social pyramid, and the other being the son of a world famous fashion designer. Keep in mind that this is all before the two come home from school one day to find magical jewels possessed by tiny and ancient animal themed spirits causally sitting on their desks. And as if that weren't enough, they quickly discover that when put on, the jewels known only as the Miraculous transform their users into superheroes with special abilities that should only belong on the pages of comics and the screens of theaters.
Naturally, the duo (especially Marinette) are reluctant to take up the heavy burden of being Paris' guardians, but when a new threat in the form of a fellow Miraculous holder, who is known to the public as Le Papillon, or Hawk Moth appears not too long after they begin, the two must work together to end his reign of terror. As time passes, the two end up discovering in the process more about each other, and themselves than one would think, while also learning with each new villain what it truly means to be Ladybug and Chat Noir.
