Summary
Armin lives a very predictable and traditional existence with his new Dominant, Eren. Surely, they have their struggles including a disapproving grandfather and Eren's critical father, but things grow even more complicated when federal agents approach Eren, inquiring about his mentor's disappearance. Life under the microscope is set to only get more challenging, especially as Eren struggles to keep his job and to prove himself and Armin works hard not (but not always successfully) at keeping Eren's life as simple as possible.
Across the border, Erwin is struggling to relinquish his control over Levi and Levi is chomping at the bit for freedom. Now a professor for a Canadian college, Levi must learn new social expectations while dealing with feeling like he's being studied by Erwin's colleagues. All while the two try to transition from a traditional relationship to something more commonly acceptable in the eyes of his colleagues, while Erwin's friends at the deli encourage regression on the front, idolizing tradition.

Will has learned how to survive by being careful. Careful with his words. Careful with his feelings. Careful not to want more than what’s already been given to him. As long as he stays awake, he can keep the truth locked away and pretend that the flutter in his chest means nothing, that Mike’s closeness is just kindness, that everything is still simple.
But one night, exhaustion finally wins.
When Will accidentally falls asleep in Mike’s bed, the things he’s spent months holding back begin to slip out in murmured half-sentences and whispered confessions he never meant to share as he’s asleep. Mike hears everything.
Now Mike is left awake in the dark, holding a truth he was never supposed to know, unsure what it means, or what tomorrow will bring, while Will sleeps on, unaware that the secret he’s guarded so carefully has already been broken open.

“‘S just my luck.” He murmured, ignoring the way his head spun when he lifted it from the toilet seat.
Even under the harsh white light of the bathroom, Will still looked good, his honey brown eyes furrowed in concern and lips slightly parted. He was beautiful, and Mike wanted to bite him.
He recoiled a bit at the thought but now that he had thought it, it wouldn't go away. He could imagine it, digging his teeth into Will’s wrist, blood beading from the teeth marks faster than he could lick it up. The rushing in his ears got louder, twin heartbeats thudding in his ears and Mike turned to heave into the toilet again, not even bothering to stop the sobs that were ripping through him.

Robin slams on the brakes and backpedals so they don't swerve out. And as she looks, she sees a sea of officials' cars. "Shit."
"Shit," El says, and it sounds so childish.
Robin playfully swats at El and lightly reprimands, "Don't repeat that. Bad."
"Sorry." Robin can tell El's not telling the truth, but she lets it slide.
"Tomorrow it is," Robin says, about to rush back home before anyone spots them. That is, until El flings herself off the back, running past Robin and through the Wheelers' front lawn.

In her pursuit Robin accidentally stumbles into El, who comes to a stop at the front window, and looks through the curtains at someone. As Robin looks through as well, she lands on a lovesick Mike Wheeler. Oh brother.
