When Techno’s pregnancy test comes back positive, Phil thinks he’s prepared for whatever Techno might decide. He’s fully prepared to offer to get Techno an appointment at a clinic, to get the pregnancy terminated.
Instead, he finds Techno sitting on his bed, staring at his hands; sits down to hear the teen say, “I don’t know what to do.”
“Okay,” Phil says after a minute. Techno’s still holding that little piece of plastic in his cupped hands. “You have plenty of options, mate.”
“I know the smart thing to do is to have an abortion.” Techno shudders when he says it.

As Phil looks back, he sees Technoblade resurfacing again, but this time the mer isn't looking at him, but rather somewhere to his left. Techno reaches out and pulls something out of the water. Then Phil is face to face with a mer, but a small and grumpy one.
This must be what the merfolk calls a pup, a child of their species. Said pup is currently pouting at him, while being held under his arms by Techno.
"Phil, meet Theseus, my son," the older mer announces proudly, which leaves Phil's brain lagging to catch up with the information. The man thought that if his friend had a child, it would have somehow came up in their conversations. After all, when kids take up the majority of your time, it's hard not to mention them to others.
