Meeting Sherlock Holmes offered all that his months in London had failed to provide and all of a sudden, John felt like he was six again, staring up at his Dad with complete and utter awe and trust and an overwhelming pride in the hero before him. Sherlock Holmes was a drug, an addiction to replace the monotony and John fell deeply in love with every inch of him.
Sherlock, for his part, was as reciprocal as he could be, given his nature. In his fashion, there was a love for John inside of him, too, a need to be with the man who had waltzed into his life and made it stable, made it possible to find somebody who accepted him, flaws and perfections inclusive, without question or demand.
They say you shouldn’t make people into heroes...
For what they meant to one another, they cancelled out their need for something heroic - there were no more heroes of intent, just people in the right place, at the right time, for the right reasons promising that no matter what the other needed, they were there to break the monotony, to be necessary and still, somehow, be heroic.

This is a fuck U-Up kinda raw, and the fucking writing blows you away and I...I wish so Badly that this could’ve happened. That Ian could’ve understood what Mickey means to him, that they could’ve waited for each other to stay together and love together—
If this is how it feels to leave prison, imagine how Mickey felt when he broke out in canon. Imagine if Ian visited every week and he Knew. Would they run away together? Wait it out?
Ian knows how good he has it, and he comes back, and he tries, and Mickey is so grateful and feels so loved. He feels loved like he should be loved. And they do all this for each other.

Not that he was complaining. Percy wouldn’t be alive today without the power of his friends’ magic. And certainly in all the chaos and emotion after his temporary death, they couldn’t be blamed for minor details slipping their minds. It was hardly a common situation to deal with. And arrows at least were obvious, what with the shaft sticking out of the wound and all. Of course you would remember to remove those before doing a healing. Bullets were, by nature, a smaller presence.
Which was why he now had several of them healed into his body. Not that he was complaining.

The strawhats are on a treasure hunt, which would be fine if Sanji wasn't incredibly hungover. The only bright spot is that Zoro's hangover is even worse.
Except in his case it turns out not to be a hangover...
