While Harry is once again celebrated as a hero and a symbol at MACUSA in America, his friends and the British wizarding world increasingly distance themselves from him. Behind the facade of a successful Auror, however, Harry continues to struggle with massive guilt and loneliness.
The plot comes to a head when Harry's superior, Theodore Graves, forces him to return to England. A new dark group, the "Ash-Born," is spreading terror there and has already murdered acquaintances like Hannah Abbott. Harry must now face his past and the people he left behind four years ago.
