Lil weird inconsistency that bothers me, uhm having Goddess use Azrael's blade on Lucifer makes no sense, especially with the wounds she gave him. Like we know it kills Celestials for good, deletes their soul, and Uriel died from a singular stab wound
Alongside all the other, different torture methods she used on him, including on his essence/grace, she slashed Lucifer's wings with the blade and then stabbed him with it.
Uriel died fast from just the stab wound
But whatevs! Just. Have to push the annoyance at the lack of sense while reading this I guess
I know they finally acknowledge it in the third chapter but not enough to fit canon. Lucifer should have died from the blade stab wound before the Goddess even left, much less survive for Raphael to try and counter its effect an unknown amount of time later where if it followed canon, Lucifer would be dead by then.
Yes I'm stuck on this but I just really really dislike inconsistencies
Moreso, inconsistencies continue where if he still dies from the injuries he'll go to Hell?? No, he'll be eradicated! -

Samael still didn't know what any of that had to do with him. Besides, at the moment, it was his mother that was hurting him, so wasn't she ruining this family as well? It didn't make any sense. Nothing did."He deserves to feel the same pain that I feel." The Goddess flexed her fingers. "He destroys my creation; I destroy his."
"But am I not yours too?" His voice sounded hollow even to him.
His mother slipped a small dagger out of her sleeve, quickly severing both of his Achilles tendons. He gasped involuntarily and would have fallen to the floor had she not been holding on to him so tightly. Blood dripped from his ankles, and a small puddle of the stuff began to form beneath him.
She frowned, one of her hands moving up to pet his hair. "You're his favorite, Samael. Nothing else I have done to him has made him hurt."
"Mum, I'm yours too!"
"You'll be fine in the end." His mother waved him off. "You need to suffer for me, Samael. Only then can I fix this family."
He still didn't get it. How would this fix anything? His stomach flipped as he saw her turn to look again, and he stumbled backwards. Her hand caught his wrist. She maneuvered around him, placing her free hand on his forehead, and he felt an overwhelming surge of her power rush through him, more power than his body was ever meant to handle. He screamed loudly for what felt like forever. It was a high pitched scream, one that sounded like his very essence was being forced out of his body. The surge coursed through his body, burning his nerve endings, seizing his muscles, and rupturing different blood vessels.
After what must have been an eternity, she released him, and he crumbled into a pile on the floor. Even though it was over, however, the aftershocks continued to ricochet throughout his body. He saw mottled bruises beginning to form on his skin, a patchwork of browns, blues, purples, and yellows. Petechiae formed on other parts of his skin; the characteristic pink and red dots of it began to appear.
He coughed roughly, and blood bubbled at his lips and splattered onto the floor. Yet more blood dripped from his nose and his eyes. The vessels in his eyes had burst as well, and the whites of them were marred red. Samael slowly turned his head up and saw the waiting form of his mother. She could have killed him, but for some reason, she had not. Despite wanting to destroy his father's creations, he continued to live.
"Why?"
"I said that you would be fine." She knelt down beside him. "And you will be, given time."
His lip wobbled uncontrollably. "Please no more, Mum."
"Oh, Samael. Sweet, sweet Samael." His mother caressed his face, rubbing his chin with her thumb. "You still don't understand."
"Mum, please!"

"You are your father's lightbringer." She murmured almost to herself. "He made you to be perfect, flawless."Samael blinked, and several more streams of blood and tears escaped his eyes.
"I will have fun destroying all of that."

She smiled down at him, but he barely saw it through the blood and the swelling. "Not so pretty now, are you? But don't worry. Mumma doesn't care about looks."For a few moments, he heard nothing but his own pathetic sobbing and wailing. Hadn't he outgrown such childish responses? Sure, he was not yet fully grown, but it wasn't like he had never experienced pain before. Samael yearned for the gentle touch of a mother, but he wanted to get away from his own. Nausea overcame him. He dry heaved on the floor, but nothing came up.
He felt his mother's hands wrestle with the front of his robe, and she ripped it off, revealing the bare chest underneath of it. Gripping the same dagger from before in her hand, she raked it across his chest, sometimes horizontally, sometimes vertically, sometimes even diagonally. Samael's head lolled to the side as he strained to see what she was doing.
She was writing--well, carving--a word into his chest in large, prominent letters. Each stroke stung, burned as though he was being branded instead, but he barely noticed the pain anymore. It all got lost among the rest. He forced his eyes to focus, reading the word she had labelled him as.
I M P E R F E C T
"Your father should find you soon, and then, it will be all better." Without a second glance, his mother turned on her heel and stalked out the door.

First time as John is dying. Can't save him, but can save his soul. Snapped the guilt that could have dragged him down for not getting to see Chloe grow up. Chloe sees feathers when he leaves.
Second time, preggo with Trixie. She's weak and unlikely to survive full term. Gives a mere ounce of what a star can be, to give her enough of a boost to survive and be born. Chloe sees/felt the Light coming from Lucifer
Third time, exactly a year after Trixie was born. She doesn't know what helped her baby live, but she know something did. She thanks him and asks that if something happens to her, that he won't let Trixie be alone, that he'll be there for her, stay with her
This starts her praying-conversating with him long term, he learns about her life. She doesn't know if he hears it, but she still reaches out. And he hears all of it
