First time as John is dying. Can't save him, but can save his soul. Snapped the guilt that could have dragged him down for not getting to see Chloe grow up. Chloe sees feathers when he leaves.
Second time, preggo with Trixie. She's weak and unlikely to survive full term. Gives a mere ounce of what a star can be, to give her enough of a boost to survive and be born. Chloe sees/felt the Light coming from Lucifer
Third time, exactly a year after Trixie was born. She doesn't know what helped her baby live, but she know something did. She thanks him and asks that if something happens to her, that he won't let Trixie be alone, that he'll be there for her, stay with her
This starts her praying-conversating with him long term, he learns about her life. She doesn't know if he hears it, but she still reaches out. And he hears all of it
Oh? Seems like she's able to somewhat feel that he is listening to her(Text added later for timeframe, Trixie turning six. Chloe told him every single year and this time she missed. Trixie prays)

Lucifer looks at him, fury writ into his eyes as the Detective’s heart slows to near nothing at all, and says, “Don't you understand? He’s not listening.”
And then he takes off, leaving a burning, sinking ship of broken men behind in the night, as he heads for the one place on Earth he’s come to know better than any other.
The place where a father died, a child lived, and the place where the Detective must absolutely be saved.

What if when Chloe shot Lucifer in episode four he'd still been invulnerable? What if she'd known the truth from the very beginning? Deviates from canon after the shooting scene in episode four. Starts out with minor but meaningful changes and will eventually reach major ones as the seasons go on.
The premise of this story is nothing changes except Chloe knows the truth which changes everything.I do my best to keep everyone in characters as much as possible to show how it really might have gone down if Lucifer's subconscious mind had been a bit slower on the uptake. ;) I do include other characters but this is mostly about how it changes Chloe and Lucifer's relationship.

-Don't understand why the author is writing it as if Lucifer bargained for Chloe's life as if it was him offering a possession. Lucifer was dying and felt he was going to leave her unprotected, so he offered anything so long as God protected Chloe. He didn't offer her life. It's annoying the hell out of me the way it's treated here.
Like the alternative was that Lucifer died period and she would have died too. He didn't bargain her life for crying out loud.

Summary
A screaming match with his father results in Lucifer being de-aged into a fledgling. However, he retains all of his memories - and a toddler’s mind, no matter how celestial, is not developed enough to cope with intense trauma.
Now, the only person Lucifer can stand to be around without panicking and bursting into tears is Chloe, who has absolutely no idea how to look after a barely verbal winged toddler who is terrified of literally everyone and everything.

I'm worried this will end with someone hunting Lucifer down, either for his openness about being the devil, or his angel wings. That.. being, that Lucifer knew yet didn't, is not human and probably has a way to detect other non-human.

Lucifer is no liar Chloe.. he might dance around the truth, or will hide stuff, but he doesn't lie.
And Lucifer did trust you, a all of a lot more than anyone for the first time ever. Is it that bad that he didn't want to lose you at first?.. and then he was unable to show you that he is who he is unless he used something he believed was forced upon him by God, something he despised and literally cut off over and over..
Lucifer is somewhat lashing out with his hurt but it's understandable because as much as he in theory isn't hurt by Chloe's actions and words, in reality he might try but it's just.. it's not that simple. He does get hurt. And it's understandable. And hurts
Hmm? That's actually an interesting way to go. Lucifer can speak any language, but can only read those he learned (still a decent bit, but not all)

Ugh my ass remembered something, kidnapping, traumatized Lucifer, Chloe in the know, Maze and her driving to find him, the bathroom scene with vomit in ch 18
I legit searched so many of my different tags but I thought it was a short fic so I kept skipping it but every time something pulled me back here to the point I started skimming the top as kidnapping happens at the start and it wasn't right....
Until I decided that I should try again and maybe towards the end? Don't remember what made me think of that. Regardless this is that fic, just the scene that I remembered is towards the end. Shattering Star, Abused Star, Fallen Star, Sick Star, Kidnapped Star all these were the right search words, I was just a stubborn idiot and kept passing over this and the other long fics
