Sophie has been living in a home for adults who have high intelligence on the magical school grounds where she attends in almost the middle of nowhere. Yet, what may seem like a good thing to other people who know about the school and housing is not actually what it really is. Sophie is constantly bullied and tormented by her other peers for being different from them. She is quite a rebel at heart but can be weak, physically, at times. Stemming from a child illness when she was really young, Sophie tends to get sick easily and can faint out of the blue. Being at this place is so miserable for her.
Outside of the school and her awful peers, she is friends with mysterious being by the name of Chan, who she met during a suicide attempt on a cliff near a seaside close to where she lives. Since their first meeting, Sophie has grown strongly on him and now does and will do anything to take care of her. Even if it means that he has to go against her peers in order to do so.
Even if it means showing what he truly is to the rest of her world. ...A monster.

I just want ideas for directions I could take. I already decided the series of events that lead elrond to learn the healing arts and how he becomes herald but not in between these two events or afterwards. I still need to establish his friendship with cirdan, celeborn, celebrimbor and gil-galad already did galadriel, camnir and durin but will accept ideas to deepen friendships. Going to add Erestor soon and bring glorfindel in the year 1600 as researched according to Tolkien's writings. Plan on writing about elrond's meeting celebrian, courtship, marriage, the building of imladris and ending the series with gil-galad's death. But none of these anytime soon.
Rules
No sex content.
No gay.
No major character death (outside gil-galad, celebrimbor, orpher, amdris and elros according to timeline)
Anybody can be poisoned.
Only characters created for the purpose can be murdered.
Focusing on natural (mostly plant based) poisons, not really magical and certainly not chemical.
Dueling is welcomed.
Middle earth style elvish justice, politics, court protocol etc.
Characters need to stay in character.
