Vax is curled comfortably against Trinket’s side and he watches as Percy yanks himself upright, eyes wide as he fishes blindly around his bedroll for his glasses before finding them and sliding them on. For a long stretch Percy stays there, hunched over his knees and visibly trembling.
Percy’s sleep shirt is rucked up by his hip. In the firelight Vax can make out the scars of torture he’d first seen spelled out on his sister’s skin.
