The green haired girl beside him jumped at their new visitor, and Jean could sense the irritation of the boy as Lisa hugged him sideways, arm hooking around his neck with ease, “I wasn't expecting for you to visit so soon.”
“… Neither was I,” for such a short boy he had quite a deep voice. He turned to face her and Jean noticed the dark skin and pure white hair.

Cyno gets tasked with an assignment outside of rogue scholars. No, this time, someone has been snatching Valuka Shuna from their protected lands to sell, to trade, and worse- to breed.
After meetings with a very stubborn fox in the desert, Cyno has to face an impossible task of saving hybrids that are being poached, smashing a smuggling ring apart, and then, hopefully, saving the fox that led him to the underground market.
Alternate Universe where, before Cyno was assigned to follow Tighnari, someone steals him away. Relies on a lot of headcanon about Valuka Shuna, and diverges from the plot quite a bit- besides the fact that I can assign Il Dottore as the f-cking worse.

Freminet had a realization, a relatively upsetting one. They were running out of time. He didn’t know how long Tighnari and Cyno had planned to stay. He didn’t know when he would lose Collei again. Kaveh takes it all in, his throat tight and dry. A part of him wants to cry and scream at Al-Haitham for allowing him to make a complete and utter fool out of himself when that damned scribe knew the truth the entire time. More tears burn behind his eyes, streaking down his flushed face as he turns away from Al-Haitham. “I’m going to bed,” he says, his voice barely above a whisper.
This time, Al-Haitham does not chase.
For years, Kaveh has never revealed that he was an omega. He knows people do not treat omegas kindly, and he has a reputation to uphold. Things go awry when our lovely architect forgets to order his prescription of suppressants. Surely, he has everything under wraps and can find a way out of this sticky situation.
