Richie grabs Eddie’s neck, almost pulling him off his stool as he squawks in alarm to squish his cheeks and ruffle the hair he spent precious minutes styling this morning. Now it’s coming loose, gel unsticking stubborn curls that Myra likes plastered to his skull with a mousse that’s ‘Not too feminine, can’t have you turning gay on me!’ Myra giggled once, which Eddie found dumb because he’s not gay, and you can’t turn gay, can you?

They talk and stuff :) )

Richie Tozier doesn't believe in miracles. Well, pre-clown amnesia from 1993 to about yesterday Richie Tozier didn't believe in miracles. But he does now. Defeating a demon clown twice, once at thirteen, will do that to a guy. But this is crazy. They're stood there, both of them, clean and tidy and incredibly alive. Which isn't possible! Richie had watched Eddie die, watched as he'd been ripped from his arms, impaled straight through the chest. And as for Stan, he hadn't even been in Derry, he'd died before they'd even stepped foot over the county line. But they're both here, and they're talking, and they haven't noticed the other five crowding the entrance of the Townhouse bar, covered in grime and muck and blood, staring at them in complete shock.

Originally he wanted to call Richie and say goodbye but given the time his mother had woken him he knew his boyfriend wouldn’t be awake, and if he was it meant that he hadn’t slept yet. Another thing was that if he called now he would most likely wake up Maggie and he didn’t want to disturb her, not after everything she’s done for him.
So he decided to write a letter saying goodbye, but then he realised that it was almost winter now in Derry and it would most likely blow away. So ultimately, he had no way of saying goodbye to his first love.

In the final fight against IT, Richie is the one who gets severely injured instead of Eddie; the Losers defeat IT and manage to bring Richie out, even as Neibolt and the sewers collapse around them. Once at the hospital, Richie gets admitted in for treatment and the Losers are left to wait.

“Wait,” the nurse said, interrupting him. Ben clenched his shaking hand. “Henry Bowers?” Ben and Eddie exchanged a glance. “The man who broke out from that psychiatric hospital last night? He killed four people on the way out,” she said, and Eddie felt a sick relief deep in his chest.
If Bowers killed more people, on top of his father and friends back in ’89, surely Richie would get off the hook for braining him.
