Scott was racing home as fast as he could. If the explosion at the Grimlands had been strong enough to destroy parts of the Lost Empire, it could reach Rivendell. He was naturally the fastest flier on the server, being the only elytrian, but he still used fireworks in order to try and get to Rivendell faster. When Scott saw the first sights of Rivendell, he stopped, landing haphazardly on a tree.
The fiery red tentacles that had once been but a memory of the past, were back and stronger than ever. They toppled his enchanting tower and had taken out the front wall of his house. The sight brought tears to his eyes as he realized what had happened.
“The crystal,” Scott whispered. “He’s out.”

The Grimlands explosion does more than just destroy some property around the Empires. It released Xornoth from the crystal. And Scott does not have the Rune Blade.

I just finished reading Gideon the ninth. I thought, “what if they never achieved lyctorhood and just hanged out the entire time they were there? What if they were so chill with each other they just threw a thanksgiving and had holidays together like some dysfunctional family?” And this is the outcome of said thought. Was supposed to do this for the other holidays and events but I never got it out in time so maybe next year.
