Phil cocked his head and smiled, eyes turning to slits. Wilbur could almost pass for human since his dark hair hid his facial feathers, and Tommy looked disconcertingly cherubic with his grey downy wings, but the Crowfather was altogether Other.
Tommy grabbed for Techno’s hand, and Techno stepped around to his other side, taking the hand that wasn’t fitted with a razor taped to the palm. Wilbur laughed again.
That’s when the sirens went off.
//Villain family Phil, Wilbur, and Tommy decide that Normal College Student Technoblade is both a part of the family and a really good target for murder attempts. The worst any of them have to worry about is the odd knife or disinterested victim. But there's a Nightmare on its way.

What is a hero, exactly? Is it some person in a fancy outfit? Is it someone who tries their best to help others? Is it someone who takes down "bad guys"? Definitions differ from person-to-person.
Technoblade doesn't know exactly what a hero is or how to be one, but he's doing his best with what he has. He just wants to keep his family safe, and society is trying to convince him that the only way to do that is by becoming a Hero and saving everybody. Techno isn't too sure about that, but he likes the idea of being able to take down places like the Arena - the place he was enslaved for most of his life. He thought becoming a hero would help him reach his goal faster than vigilantism, but more threats start coming at him and his family from all angles - and not even from the expected angles.

Summary
Wilbur’s standing absolutely still, like a stone statue, eyes wide, hands shaking, water dripping off from his hair. Kids are chattering and laughing, phones being raised high as everyone crowds around. One person is laughing louder than all the rest, and Wilbur looks up with something mortified.
The expression on Wil’s face is recorded more than once. The disbelief and shock is preserved perfectly on camera, and there’s no doubt it will be the most popular image in the school for weeks.
At least, that’s what everyone is assuming, until Technoblade comes running into frame, slamming a fist right into Dream’s face.

Summary
Technoblade's only just lost the hunters in the distance when he hears an ungodly shriek in front of him. Unfortunately, going back means the hunters, so he pushes forward, hoping it's just some weird bird or something.
In a way, it is.
In the center of a clearing, by a cliff's edge, there's a small, avian child wrapped up in the net, screeching. The insignia in the net is that of the hunters chasing him, and it's obvious from the loud sobs and the state of the net that the kid's been there for a while and isn't going to be able to free himself anytime soon. Techno hesitates for a moment, but, screw it, it's his good deed day. What's freeing another hybrid child?

In his dreams, there had always been a voice. A soft melodic voice that sang their mother's lullaby. A more monotonous, but just as loving voice that promised he'd teach him to fight one day, once he was old enough of course. The doting voice of a mother laughs with a toddler as she gently tries to fix a small crown onto the boy's brow. And then there was the gentle voice of a father, that promised to always keep him safe from those who'd do them harm.
And in the morning when the boy would awake, he'd wonder who exactly he needed to be protected from.
"Tommy?" A voice called out from the doorway and Tommy grinned gleefully at the sight of his older brother.
"Dream!" He yelled, stumbling out of bed and into his arms, hugging the man tight. His brother returned the hug in kind, his hands pressing warmly into the spot on his back where his wings would ignite from for the first time in a few days, fully grown.
Surely Dream was all the protection Tommy would ever need in this world, right?
A knot of doubt coiled tightly in his chest.
