At 8:26 A.M., Akira Kurusu and Ryuji Sakamoto are seen in Aoyoma-Itchome having a heated conversation about Shujin Academy’s celebrity-status gym teacher before cutting through the back alleys.
Neither are seen again until 12:37 P.M., caught by a truancy officer on that very same street in Aoyoma-Itchome they were first seen talking on. They arrive at school and are escorted in to be reprimanded for cutting four periods on an already shortened day. Nothing that unusual for the known delinquent and the new criminal transfer student.
No one notices the haunted looks in both their eyes, or the dark, fresh brand across Akira's heart.
