This was supposed to be a psychological exploration using Shadow's trauma. (Specifically how someone might experience grief w/ the 5 Stages of Grief.) And then I rewatched the movie with my roommate. When the “Oh ivo, you're no Maria” scene happened, this mf (who doesn't like sonic btw) turned to me and went:
“There's no way this isn't implied grooming.”
Safe to say this fic may have evolved way past its original blurb... Welcome to the darkest fic I've ever written. 🫶

This started as a school project, but I kept writing... all credits of the setting and characters go to Liam Vickers, this is just my little spin on the original story.
