Summary
The fog comes back.
Nothing else has found its way into their safe little haven yet, but the fog does, creeping through the cracks of their cabin, blanketing them in thick, heavy billows.
Jon is there every time, he's there to pull Martin back when he gets lost, bleary eyes and hands so transparent Jon's fingers glide right through when he reaches for them.
"Martin", he says, forcing a shaky smile on his lips as he tries to hold onto the warmth Martin's name elicits in him. "Martin? Come on. Come back to me."
"Jon?" His name echoes, the mist thickening.
"Yes", Jon says emphatically. "I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere without you. You're not alone anymore, Martin, remember?"
Martin blinks, something sparking up in his eyes, but the cold fog sets heavily around them, blurring Jon's vision.
"No!" Jon reaches out, won't let himself lose sight of Martin ever again, he won't let him slip away. "No, you can't have him!" he yells into the cold white all around. "He's not yours to claim!"
~oOo~
Or, the one where Jon and Martin try to find what happiness they can, despite the Lonely looming, the Eye watching, and their own doubts weighing them down.

Summary
After the events of the Panopticon, Martin and Jon hoped to end up Somewhere Else.
Luckily, becoming the Pupil of the Eye in Jonahs place gave Jon more power than he'd expected, and what is time but another thread of tape to pull and wrest into control?
After all, it was only polite to be kind, and rewind.

He’d make a list. Quickly, Jon ripped out a paper from a half filled notebook. One day is all he’d give himself. One day to do everything he should've done before. Not for the world, not for the Eye, but for people he wished he could’ve called friends.

Summary
Jonathan Sims wasn’t stupid.
He wasn’t! No matter what Georgie would say about him, with that annoyingly fond roll of her eyes. That’s why he was here, at an abandoned house in the middle of the night. Right.
He just had . . . a hunch. And he really didn’t want to deal with the teasing that would come with the admission that yes, Jonathan Sims, famed paranormal skepticist, had had an encounter someone might even call “spooky.”
(In which Jon is stupid and Martin is a spooky ghost. Happy Halloween!)

Summary
Jon pauses, as though picking his words with great care. Once he starts speaking again, Martin realises he’s avoiding asking him any questions. "I-I-I wanted to talk to you. Everyone is...well, avoiding me! Six months, I just, I-I-I-I don't know why you're all acting like this, and I don't want to force any of you to tell me, b-but I can't help if-if-if—"
He rambles as though terrified Martin will disappear, as though this will be his only chance to talk. But the cold has other ideas, and a sneeze steals the rest of Jon's rant.
Sympathetic to Jon’s plight, Martin finally meets Jon's eyes, and it's his greatest mistake. All he wants to do is reach out and hug the man he thought had died. Wrap him up safely in his arms where no evil will ever reach him again, and there will be no worries about Powers or Entities or evil bosses or the end of the world.
But that's wishful thinking. Because he can't do any of that.
There is...one thing he can do. One thing he hopes and hopes Peter won't discover.
"...Come inside," he says softly, though the words scrape along his throat on their way out.

Summary
“Jonathan Sims!”
Jon felt a wave of ice pass through him at the voice, only partly due to the speaker’s affiliation with the Lonely. F! The statement giver hurried away, taking advantage of the Archivist’s temporary distraction, leaving Jon only half-fed and far from satiated as he faced his comeuppance. He steeled himself and turned to face Martin, forcing a look of indifference over his features and a flatness to his voice. “What?”
“Did I just catch you taking another victim?”
Jon felt a flush of embarrassment cross his face but he pushed it to the side. “I’ve got to feed, Martin.” Did he feel guilty? Yes. Ashamed? Yes, very much so. Honestly when he was fully fed and in complete control of his faculties he often considered (and sometimes attempted) ridding the world of the monster that was Jonathan Sims. Unfortunately destroying an Archivist was easier said than done and he was just a bit too scared to try anything that would completely destroy him beyond repair as he was rather averse to pain. And when he was hungry enough all noble thoughts of self-sacrifice went out the window to make way for the pure predatory need to feed. “You should have taken me up on my offer, you know.”

Summary
The crawling itch of eyes on the back of Martin’s neck feels like a hundred tiny legs, and he has to fight the urge to reach up and check nothing is actually on his skin. “You’ve been watching me.”
“Yes.” Annabelle takes a sip of her tea. “We hate to see you so alone, Martin.”
“I’m not alone,” he says, but his voice sounds weak, even to his own ears, and he can feel the Lonely on his breath, can see the fog out of the corner of his eyes, waiting patiently and inexorably for its chance to consume him.
“I know,” Annabelle says. “You have Jon. It was a disappointing at first, seeing Choke snatch our dear old Archivist, but…not the worst outcome. Ruined quite a few of our plans, but then again, webs are flexible. Adaptable. Which leads me to you.”
“What—” Martin forces himself to take a breath. “What do you mean?”
“The spiders have always liked you, Martin."

Summary
Jon gets really depressed after the intervention (S4) and goes to a bar to drink. Unfortunately, while he's stumbling back to the archives a vampire catches and eats him. He dies but it has an interesting interaction with his Beholding Avatar status and he comes back to a sort of half-alive state.
Unfortunately he's the worst (most pitiful) vampire the world has ever seen. It's really really sad and Martin has to help him so he doesn't starve to death.
