“And what did you wish for?” Shuri asked, advancing on him from the bed. “Your people swimming up the river to break Wakanda’s borders? An empire of blood against all other nations in the world?”
“I wished,” said Namor very quietly, watching her and not moving, “to hear you say my name.”

Shuri, who has given up the throne of Wakanda, has a lot of time to think in Haiti about the future of Wakanda. Fortunately, someone else is more than happy to offer some assistance, but when new developments arise, she and Namor of Talokan must forge a tentative alliance while navigating a more treacherous sea than either of them expected.

Sequel to Frost and Flame.
Loki sits on the Throne of Asgard wearing Odin's face. Most of Asgard is none the wiser, with only a select few privy to the knowledge that their King has been sent away to Midgard. Reagan - the fire-wielding mortal Loki shares a soulbond with - is under the impression that Thor is watching over their father, for his own wellbeing and for the good of Asgard. Loki intends to keep it that way, after all, Hel hath no fury like his mortal.
After the trials they've faced since finding one another, the pair believe themselves to be inseparable. Things are rather blissful. At least, for the time being. But as Reagan begins to learn the lengths Loki is willing go to in order to keep her safe, they find their bond put to the test.

"What about the time I tried to take over New York?" he asked.
There was a beat of silence.
"I'm sorry, is that supposed to be funny?"
Loki just shrugged a little. "Only if you laughed."

“You’re a babe, Spidey. Humina humina awooooooga.” He makes the fog horn noise with his mouth and everything.
“Cartoon sound effects,” Peter chides, gentle and with no heat. He still pats himself down to make sure nothing incriminating is showing anyway.
Next to him, Wade makes a complicated popping and whistling sound that really does sound like it’s from a cartoon. When Peter looks back over, he’s smiling guilelessly, the blank white eyes of his mask scrunched up to match his grin.
He winks, and the mask blinks too. Peter still isn’t sure how he does that. He’s kinda jealous if he’s being honest.

Peter rolls up his mask for the first time. Wade reacts exactly as expected.

He winks, and the mask blinks too. Peter still isn’t sure how he does that. He’s kinda jealous if he’s being honest.
Huffing, he shuffles horizontally so he can lower himself to the rough concrete with his elbows. Shifting lengthwise on the edge of the roof takes a bit of work, but he’s able to rest his head against Wade’s thigh and keep pressure off his almost-healed bullet wound at the same time.
The kevlar of Wade’s pants isn’t exactly comfortable, neither is the solid muscle against the back of his neck, but Wade shifts to accommodate him and relaxes his thighs and it’s a bit better after that.
Peter closes his eyes, listens to the bustling sounds of the city that loves and haunts him, and takes a second to breathe.
Wade drops a hand onto the crown of his head, careful and slow. Peter knows without a shadow of a doubt that if his mask was up past the bridge of his nose, full head revealed, he’d have a hand in his hair. Wade is an unconscious and conscious fiddler and he’d be a hair petter if given half the chance.
