    Guizhong is sitting in front of the opened dumbbell in all her glory, and from Zhongli’s side Ajax makes a choked noise of surprise and awe. The smell of fresh glaze lilies fills the room and Zhongli is overwhelmed with fresh emotion.

     

    “Guizhong…” Zhongli whispers and he sounds uncharacteristically broken, “It’s been over two thousand years since you’ve died.”

     

    There is a deadly silent pause at that.

     

    Guizhong’s facial expression turns into something bitter, and she asks, sounding both close to tears and teasing, “It’s taken you that long to open my dumbbell? I told you to forget about it one day... “ She bats his arm as she sniffs, “You wanted me back that much, you old rock?”
