Summary
Stanley Pines finds quite an interesting board game while sorting through the family Pawn Shop's merchandise. It promises adventure, but Stan and his brothers will soon find that the adventure is a lot less family fun, and a lot more fighting for your very lives in the cold, dead heart of space.
They need to finish the game quickly in order to make it back to New Jersey-- if they can ever stop fighting!

Dipper and Mabel Pines were not having the summer adventure of a lifetime. They were barely having a summer at all. Bored, stuck in an old house in a backwater town, and with nothing and nobody to distract them, they'd rather they never got shipped off to Gravity Falls in the first place.

Not that he wouldn't rather he never got pushed through that stupid portal in the first place, but he's doing pretty well for himself. However, sometimes fate can be a little funny, and Stan finds himself spending quite a lot of time at an unassuming one that has some pretty big surprises in store.

Shermie definitely didn’t sniffle because he was crying. He only sniffled a little because it was cold and he was wet from the walk in the rain, not because he was sad and scared and alone. Shermie didn’t cry. He steadied his voice to hide the shake in it and said “Um, Ma’s ok. She gave me your number.”
“Oh.” The voice paused. “What’s- uh, what’s up?”
“Um.” Shermie gulped. “I need- some help.”
“What is it?”
“Pa.” He took a deep breath. “Pa kicked me out.”
The voice didn’t speak for a minute. When it did again, it shouted “What the fuck?”

It feels like the universe is stuck in limbo: Stan just wants to be a good brother, but he doesn’t want to get caught up in his twin’s creepy demonic cult; Ford wants to leave his past behind, but not if he has to destroy the Earth in the process; and Bill wants everything, but the multiverse refuses to let him have it.
