“But Vernon, we can’t! You heard what that- that despicable old man told us!”
“Don’t worry, pet” Vernon said, his nasty grin triumphant, “I’ll leave him someplace so far away that those freaks will never trace him back to us. There’s an institute up north, for these- these hopeless cases and whatnot - St Brutus's Secure Centre for Boys. I’ll leave him there, and then we can get back to our nice, normal life”.Or, the one where Harry doesn't attend Hogwarts in first year but finds his way to the wizarding world anyway, and this changes everything.

Harry left the Chamber. Walked away from Arthur and Dumbledore, damn his twinkling eyes, and went to Gringotts. He would take out his money and leave. Leave them all behind and they could go rot for all he cared. He was done.
Then, he learned the truth.

Let's say he got a reality check a little earlier and now he and Harry are somewhat friends.)Dumbles also placed a bunch of spells on baby Hadrian the night the Potters were killed but they lowkey didn't work because of Lily's blood protection spell. His real name is Hadrian James Evans Potter.
