The horse's iridescent purple blood flooded the pavement and soaked through Tommy's jeans, leaving stains that he knew wasn't going to come out no matter what he did. Tommy could dimly hear Dream ranting in the background about how he was going to get arrested and about how he wasn't going to get the premotion he had been working towards ever since he took in Tommy. But the only thing that had Tommy's undivided attention in that moment was the golden horn on the horse's forehead, it pulsed with light and energy and life, and Tommy couldn't control the impulse to touch it.
(Death of a Unicorn is one of my favorite movies and I firmly believe it deserves more recognition. I watched it last night and had a massive amount of brain rot)

Still, it was apparent that Voldemort did not truly understand the magic he'd used, or, perhaps, some other force had intervened to set in motion a sequence of events that would become the foundations of history. In any case, Harry was glad he had excellent company along for the journey.

Dicentra formosa is a book-length fan fiction I wrote deep diving into the love story between Bree Van de Kamp and Gaby Solis. I do have all 30 chapters composed. I intend to release them in groups weekly until all of them are out for everyone to read. Thank you for reading. I hope those of you who also saw something between Bree and Gaby enjoy reading their story as much as I enjoyed writing it.
The story begins in the context of Desperate Housewives, 7.19 “The Lies Ill-Conceived.” Gaby walks into Lynette’s house where Bree is watering Lynette’s plants while she and Tom are out of town. The story follows Gaby and Bree’s scenes nearly true to canon until the moment it diverges. What if they had managed that spa trip? We shall see… Enjoy.
