He’s got a real gripe with that. Thinking. It should not be so easy to keep the shit inside alive. Spiraling should be more effortful, not a mode to slip into all unaware and clumsy. One thought jumps to another, rocks in a lake, contact tepid at best. Matt spirals like second nature. First nature. It happens without permission; the car swerves right when his hands drop contact with the wheel.
There are decisions to be made. Winter Break is the time for decisions.

He was positive he could take on an intruder as long as they were not some huge body builder.
The door knob twisted and he was running out of time. He quickly spotted the discarded Converse and grabbed a shoe. He held the sneaker up in the air like a bat. He was ready to shoe this trespasser in the head if that was a thing. He wasn’t sure if it was. Shit!
The door flung open and a young man strolled out without a care in the world, humming some song to himself, oblivious to his surroundings – no situational awareness to be found. His brown hair was wet and messy with strands askew.
And… he was completely naked. One hundred percent bare. Peter’s eyes drifted down the pale torso that was covered in moles with some beads of water still trickling down his rib cage towards the vee of his narrowed waist.
His eyes could not help but follow the trail towards his crotch to check out… “oh my fucking God. Who are you?” The other voice unfortunately sliced through his ogling session causing his eyes to refocus back to the young man’s face who now finally appeared startled by a stranger standing in front of him.

This is my first work and I am still figuring out Ao3. While the characters are original, their names are inspired by cherished figures from the works of Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, and Elizabeth Gaskell. Certain situations are also inspired by the Fandoms list. I am unsure how many chapters this will be but as Jane Austen said,"My characters shall have, after a little trouble, all that they desire.”
