“I dunno, ask Dustin.” He nudged Eddie before unlocking the Beemer. “It’s either science or some kinda omen, is my bet.”
“Christ, don’t say that.” Eddie tore his gaze from the sky, trying to suppress the feeling of foreboding lingering under his skin. “If something happens now, it’s your fault for jinxing it.”

Eddie’s graduating and ‘85 really is his year. The Lab is in the past and the Upside Down is locked away behind closed gates that will never open again. He’s got two jobs and rock star dreams. Nothing is going to come between him and living the life of freedom he never thought he could have.
Steve is graduating and nothing is what he thought his life would look like at this point. There are a lot of things he wouldn’t give up or change: his friends, the kids in the Party, and Eddie. But there’s a lot he would change, too. His dumb nightmares, the God awful uniform at his new job, and the migraines that have started to really cramp his style.
When it starts to look like things with the Upside Down aren’t as settled as they thought Steve, Eddie, and all their friend are going to find out that predicting the future doesn’t always guarantee a happy ending for everyone but working together just might.

Summary
September 8th 1979 000 and 001 were freed from Brenner's control. 001 went on a rampage at the lab, killing nearly everyone, but 000 managed to save all of his 'siblings', except 011.
After finding 001 trying to kill 000 011 destroy him. But it didn't really go as planned, ending with both him and 001 being sucked down into a different dimension.
Four year later as he hunts down a Flower Mouth he finds a girl stumbling her way through the woods. He re-emerges back into the real world through a red portal, similar to the one he was thrown into years ago and sets out to help save a lost little boy and destroy the creatures that escaped.

Eddie didn't sign up to save the world twice, but he's going to do it a lot more than that and he really doesn't get a choice in the matter.
If only he could get his thoughts in order long enough to actually come up with a good plan, rather than the half-assed one he had come up with the day he woke up in his sixteen-year-old body.
Yes, it takes time to come up with a plan to save the world, and it takes even more time for him to assemble the parts of it that matter, dammit.

After that, everything felt like one big deja vu. It had all happened before. She had walked through the dark corridor, with bodies scattered all around, searching for any signs of life, any survivors. And then, she had reached that one room. And she had found him. Pale, bloodstained and unsonscious, but still alive.
