It sounded muffled, as if it was coming from underwater.
“Shh, Will, you’re okay, you’re safe,” he heard more clearly now. It was his favorite voice, his favorite sound in the world. His blurry vision slowly started to clear, and Mike’s face appeared in front of him, panicked eyes searching his face for a sign of recognition in Will’s eyes. “You’re not there anymore, Will. You’re here, in our room. I’m here, sweetheart. Come back to me, please.”

Juno is eighteen, with tan skin and dark-brown hair and green eyes the same color as the grasses she's surrounded by. She picks at bandages on her arms while sitting outside in front of a workbench. The workbench itself is unimpressive, with edges smoothed after years of use and stray paint dotting its surface. Despite that, the thing on the workbench is one of the most intricate pieces of technology Juno's ever handled."

Mars had become a green world.
Centuries after the migration of all humans to a terraformed Mars, scientists aimed to look back into the lost decades of human history to rediscover their past and inform their future. Juno's dad, Edward Wilde died on the Leto III trying to reconnect Mars to an ancient lunar base millions of miles away. Now, an eighteen-year-old Juno has to confront the same fate as her dad, veering off course and entering a world with life spilling out from the rubble of a once-broken world. Will she find her way back to Mars? Is there more to her dad's fate than it seems?

Next to their bath. Sanemi had snagged more towels, these ones were small, white. The human's used them to rest on their forehead while soaking, he didn't understand why. But it looked nice.
He brushed back his wet hair, placing the folded fabric across his scarred forehead. Waiting for something… magnificent to happen.
It's just a towel, Sanemi realized dourly.
Then, curiosity takes over. And Sanemi plops the other neatly folded towel on Genya's head.
The lamb looks up at him, curious but not unnerved. Maybe a little annoyed as he was examining his wet tail fur sway smoothly in the water. Then turn crinkly when he lifted it to the air.
"Do you feel any different with the towel?"
A slow, but firm shake of his head. 'No.'
"Me either." Sanemi settles back into the water, stretching his wings as much as he could without dislodging the both of them. Genya didn't stir this time at the sight of them.
