One of my favorite fic writers!
Ok, the mouse's name is absolutely adorable (and Castiel's bee friend!!!). In fact, this whole fic and the accompanying fanart was adorable! I was sad about the angst when Cas eventually (temporarily) left, but I completely understand why he had to thanks to the positive outcome that resulted. Not only did Cas grow so much more as a kind person, the world (and especially Dean) around him flourished as a result too.

SPOILERS: Super great smut and BDSM, no Destiel relationship angst, Dean doesn't give up on himself and Cas never gives up on Dean, Rowena actually comes to the rescue at one point = love it, eventual Ellie/Sam is so sweet which helps Sam to heal for his own reasons too, I still keep wanting to mention how wonderful the emotional hurt/comfort Cas brings Dean is over and over again, "Happily Ever After" is pretty much guaranteed....

The author warns at the beginning that English is not their first language and then says that Chapter 18 was the first smut scene they'd ever done. Like, what??? No way dude, I would have NEVER known - this is SO well-written (grammatically, the humor, the love, no ableism)!! And oh my God, I LOVE Tina and the farm (the dogs, Dean's names for the chickens, the overall domestic fluff, etc.)
Even in spite of the angst surrounding Dean's setbacks, his emotional progress was absolutely refreshing to read. I wish we had seen more of this mental health improvement with not only Dean, but with Sam as well, in canon. Their resolutions and efforts to break from their codependency (that has honestly had a more negative impact that good) in canon was refreshing too. Also, Castiel's caretaking and resilience in helping Dean through his emotional crisis was absolutely wonderful and I'm so, so glad Dean didn't push him away.
Good Lord if all of this had been canon instead of Season 15...!!!

Notes to self:
Absolutely excellent "Emotional Hurt/Comfort" with powerful insight into the depths of the trauma so many of our veterans/soldiers and associated journalists alike unfortunately must cope with on a daily basis. Research into the accuracy of the issues portrayed was clearly evident and thoroughly appreciated because of the respect these sufferers clearly deserve. Although the mental health problems that can result from the impact of war are (vaguely) known of by the general public, stories such as this are essential for empathy and further education, as so much of that same general population have no reference point as to how to relate so understanding can be achieved. Dean was an absolute sweetheart and Castiel's personality in this fic are both exactly how I could see canon Dean and Cas in a canon "other" world like this too!Kudos!!!
